WhatsApp to introduce the Screen-sharing feature for Video Chat

After seeing the likes of of Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams gain catch the public eye through their advanced features Meta owned WhatsApp has finally decided to step up.

This information was first discovered and reported by WABetaInfo, who stated that this feature can only be accessed on devices with the new 2.23.11.19 update installed. The following feature is not intended to work on older Android devices

The website prominent for keeping an eye on new WhatsApp developments stated that the feature is introduced to better the user experience and to outcompete renowned competitors like Zoom and Google.

When updated users will notice a slight change as they will witness a new icon on the bottom of their screens during a video chat, when turned on the feature will present user A’s screen to user B or vice versa. However, if any of the following users want to end the transmission, they can do it on a click of a button. Moreover, this feature will only enable when there is consent from both sides.

We can expect more technologically advanced features from the tech giant that is committed on improving the user experience and overshadow all the other competitors in the market.
