WhatsApp Introduces User-Friendly Picture Editing Tool

WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, has added a picture-editing tool to its Desktop app, the latest in a series of updates and additions to the secure messaging service.
WABetainfo reports that WhatsApp, a famous instant messaging service, has added a new tool for editing pictures to its Desktop version. The new “crop tool” in the drawing editor lets users trim photos to the perfect size for their projects.

Since this functionality was absent in earlier versions of WhatsApp, its inclusion has been eagerly awaited. Users of the beta version of WhatsApp on Windows may now crop photographs without leaving the app, simplifying media editing.

Users will appreciate the WhatsApp Desktop crop feature because it eliminates the need to employ a third-party image editor before transmitting photos over the desktop app.

Within WhatsApp Desktop, users can now directly crop photographs. However, the feature has only been provided to select beta testers, and WhatsApp has not announced when the new photo editing tool will be available to everyone.
In addition to video calling, WhatsApp’s mobile apps now include a screen-sharing function that can be activated by touching a new button in the call controls menu. By releasing this functionality, WhatsApp is now more competitive with similar apps like Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
